On June 15th, Sierra went to see her favorite Doctor in Bellevue, Dr. Phillips. As you can see in the photos, she absolutely has no fear ahead of time yet and loves playing with the huge mirrors and ripping and eating the paper from the examining table. Luckily Mom was on top of that but was sure to get a picture first. Priorities! This time around she weighed in at a womping 16 lbs 11 ounces and was 26.5 inches long. This still kept her in the 75th percentile which the Doctor was pleased to see. Phew! She checked out fine with everything and we were told to give her more variety of solid foods which has been difficult for us so far so hopefully that will get better. Erik's mom has had the best luck so far with mashed bananas. Then came the not-so-fun shots. I think I have a harder time with this to be honest. I didn't look at the needles and just looked at her to try and distract her and it seemed to go better this time around then last. At least she didn't seem to wail as long. After a few seconds, she was back to smiling again. This time around we gave her some baby Tylenol about a half hour before her shots and then again after her shots. It also seemed like she didn't have as tough of a reaction to the vaccines too which was helpful.
Her next visit will be at 9 months. We should be pro's by then!
